Primary and Urgent Care

L. Jean Dunegan, M.D.  B.S. (Pre-Medicine) with distinction, Penn State University; M.D. and General Surgery residency, University of Pittsburgh; Surgery Research fellowship, Harvard University; J.D. cum laude, Cooley Law School (recipient of Distinguished Student Award); Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery; Fellow of the American College of Legal Medicine. Dr. Dunegan has practiced general surgery and emergency medicine for 20+ years. Herself an avid runner and sports enthusiast, she is skilled in treating common sports injuries. As a nationally recognized expert on both clinical and legal aspects of medical practice, she publishes and lectures regularly to a nationwide audience. Dr. Dunegan serves as Adjunct Professor of Health Care Law and as a moot court judge at Ave Maria School of Law in Ann Arbor. She is a contributing author to Legal Medicine, a major medical textbook published by Excelsior/Mosby/Lipincott (next edition 2007). She is also the author of numerous articles in professional publications both in print and online. Memberships include American Medical Association, American Bar Association, American College of Legal Medicine, Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, Catholic Medical Association, Michigan State Medical Society, and State Bar of Michigan.

Walters, M.D.   B.A. (English & Sociology), Western Michigan University; M.D., Michigan State University College of Human Medicine; Internship, West Virginia University Hospital; Psychiatry residency, H.H. Donahue Mental Health Institute, Norman, OK; 20+ years of psychiatric practice experience, including 10 years as medical director and psychiatrist for the Lakeshore Behavioral Health Affiliation (West Michigan); former psychiatric columnist for The Latin Mass: A Journal of Catholic Culture.   Memberships include American Psychiatric Association, Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, Catholic Medical Association, Michigan Psychiatric Society, and Michigan State Medical Society.
